Project: Process Area Central Utilities Building
Customer: Turner Construction
The process area central utilities building is a utility building supporting the Ultra Purification of process water in the fabrication of 5.1 cone wafers. The base build contract involved main power distribution from central 13.8kV source for both normal and critical power. 480‐volt and 208‐volt distribution throughout building, lighting and branch power. Throughout the job progression, revisions were added to include alternate power distribution. The job conditions throughout were very difficult and had a peak manpower of 61 electricians.
Project: River’s Casino & Resort
Location: Schenectady, NY
Customer: Norwood‐ Lechase
This was a ground up electrical project for a new 155,000 sqft casino and gaming facility including restaurant, banquet facilities, and 60‐room luxury hotel. The job included normal and emergency power and distribution, lighting, gaming power, event power and lighting, fire alarm, security, tel/data and extensive dimming controls. Installation of 1,500 kw generator and UPS systems were also included. Project was completed in 15 months with peak manpower of 80 electricians.
Project: Building 12 Process Area #7
Customer: BBL Construction
Building 12 base contract was for the construction of a new 155,000 sq ft pharmaceutical process area which included 40,000 sq ft of clean room space. Scope included consolidation of site wide utility feeds to one central high yard. Local utility company brought 34.5kv to new switchgear line up, supply and installation of (2) 5MVA 34.5/4.16 KVA transformer, supply and installation of (2) 2500 kw 4.16 KV generators and parallels, switchgear, supply and install (2) 1500/2000 kva 4.16/480/277 volt sub‐ stations, 480‐volt distribution throughout building, lighting, fire alarm, security, automation, and control wiring.
